"Must have been a bad day"
A review of Biento Madame by Christine - Tuesday 6th of October 2009
After spending a busy Saturday trying on dresses in different shops our last stop was Biento Madame. When we got there it was rather busy with lots of school girls formal dress shopping. We stood in queue for about an hour with people bunking in front of us who were horrible, it was clear to the assistants this was going on but no one dared to say a thing. When we finally got taken I was told I was too short. I tried on a wedding dress and left my clothes, handbag and mobile in the changing room, when I went back another assistant had let someone else use my changing room. I said that my belongings were in there and the assistants angrily told me off for leaving them there...eh where was I meant to leave them? Carry them with me while looking in the mirror. After this we left sharply and vowed never to go back.
However, a few months later I had an additional bridesmaid that we had to get a dress for, she was originally not allowed to go to the wedding until 4 weeks before! We were desparately running around looking for a dress for her in the colour of the other bridesmaids dress. No where in Belfast, Ards, Bangor, etc had anything at all similar that fitted her. We decided we would give Biento Madame another chance. This time we went in and it was less busy, the staff were soooo friendly and helpful. They gathered all the dresses they had in the same colour to let my bridesmaid try them on. We found the perfect dress, although it was a little big. But because we needed to do some work to it they gave it to us for a reduced price.
My advice....Stay away when busy, but no need to avoid!
