"Refreshingly clear Bible Teaching for modern life today"

On entering this modern church building for Sunday worship I found the people in this small congregation unassuming, friendly and welcoming. The worship was simple but not simplistic, it was modern but not gimicky, the emphasis was on glorifying Jesus the Christ as Lord and King. The sermons were not wee talks but very much expositions of the Bible's teaching. The teaching was refreshingly clear and applicable to modern life. The evening worship at 6.30pm differed from the morning worship at 11.00am in terms of the hall in which it was held with more emphasis on prayer but no less emphasis on what God had to say from His Word. After the evening worship refreshments were available for all. If you want a big church with lots of happy clappers - don't go to this one! if you want to experience worship where you don't have to engage your mind - don't go to this one! However, if you want a church where the worship is real, meaningful and the presentation of the Bible's teaching is clear and challenging offering spiritual "meat" for food instead of "cream buns"; then make your way to Belvoir Presbyterian Church where you will meet God in worship - after all isn't this why we go to church. I have sadly not found the teaching that was on offer here to be in plentiful supply in our city's churches. I for one will be back again. .
